Brilliant Stars School, Tripura

On behalf of AMHARTA Educare, Mr. Payam Shoghi was commissioned by the Brilliant Stars School Management Board to work closely with the school’s leadership and staff, and support the alignment of its educational practices with the recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023.

To this end, Mr. Shoghi spent extended periods at the school in Udaipur, Tripura, between March and October 2024. During this time, he helped teachers deepen their understanding of key educational priorities and acquire practical skills for effective classroom implementation in the following areas:

  • Competency-based learning and the use of learning outcomes to guide instruction.
  • Innovative pedagogical practices and classroom management strategies based on the principles of cooperative learning and cooperative games.
  • Activity-based learning to promote stronger conceptual understanding of curricular content.
  • Supporting the shift in teacher roles from mere instructors to facilitators of learning—marked by reduced teacher talk-time and greater student participation and expression.
  • More comprehensive and intentional approaches to instructional design and lesson planning.
  • Strategies to develop students’ higher-order, critical, and creative thinking abilities.
  • Strengthening both formative and summative assessments, not only to evaluate learning outcomes but also to recognize and reward the effort that students put into their work.
  • Organizing foundational stage classes in accordance with the goals of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), with an emphasis on enhancing reading, writing, and oral communication across all grades.
  • Integrating moral and value education as well as life skills education more effectively within the school program.

The work led by Mr. Shoghi has provided the school with a compelling vision for its future development, and a practical, actionable roadmap for improving the quality and relevance of its educational activities.

The teachers have greatly benefited from these interventions, reporting increased confidence, greater clarity in their teaching practices, and renewed motivation to create more engaging and meaningful learning experiences for their students

His contributions have not only enriched our teachers’ professional practice but also laid a strong foundation for long-term educational improvement.
